Recently Completed Projects

 Government

• City of Columbia:  The city council chamber was in need of an audio solution where all city council members, public speakers, and clerks could have voice amplification for both live  and recorded needs.  The council meetings are shown on broadcast television and product reliability and on-site support was most critical.  Advanced Video provided a solution that included hard wired microphones, wireless microhones, a DSP mixer, power amplifiers, speakers, distribution amplifiers, recording devices, power distribution, and secure equipment racking.  Our first step was providing on-site support for specifying equipment and preparing a budget.  AVI next assisted the City with project management to ensure the installation was completed within the customer's timeline.  AVI provided customer training, system documentation, and finally a complimentary one-year on site service warranty for our customer's peace of mind. 

• City of West Columbia Police Department:  The police department was in need of a multi-media squad training room.  Through the use of video projection the user could display computer sources, DVD training videos, cable television, and document cameras with audio running separately through the room's speaker and amplification system.  The user also requested to be able to wirelessly communicate from a laptop computer to the projector which was made possible through a wireless receiver in the projector.  Advanced Video helped support this project from system design, to user training, and on-site support.

 Military

• US Army: The School required classroom training technology to be able to digitally reproduce computer and video generated content and have the ability to annotate digitally.  The user utilizes mainly PowerPoint and Excel formats during training.  Through the use of short-throw projection technology, digital white boards, and annotative software, the user can display content, digitally annotate over any image, and save the training sessions for future use.  On-site product demonstrations were also done to help reassure the customer of their future investment prior to installation.  With the support of 3M (the product manufacturer), Advanced Video offered a complimentary full day of training on all hardware and software to all Financial Management School instructors and IT personnel. 

 House of Worship

• Fairlawn United Methodist Church:  The Church had a desire to have remote mounted cameras in the sanctuary that could be controlled from an A/V booth and displayed in various parts of the church as well as recorded to DVDs  for duplication.  For overflow attendees, the church could display video feeds from the sanctuary into their multi-purpose room and nursery with audio running through in-ceiling speakers.  The multi-camera set-up could all be controlled by a single technician through a multi-camera joystick control.  Computer, DVD, and camera feeds are all sent through a switching scaler so that the church can display various images easily and seamlessly. Advanced Video provided on-site consultations, product demos, and assistance in preparing a budget.  Trained technicians worked closely with church officials to coordinate the installation around special events and weekly events.  Upon project completion, AVI provided on-site training and warranty support.  Since, the church has used AVI for support in adding additional choir and pulpit microphones to their existing audio system and re-routing all audio feeds into a larger mixer that will support their existing equipment and future growth.

 Private Enterprise

• Food Lion:  The client had a need to update several conference rooms in their district stores with multi-media equipment in order to provide on site training to personnel.  The solution needed to be extremely user friendly and flexible because of the high volume of inexperienced users that would be using the technology.  Advanced Video was able to provide a solution that both met and exceeded the customer's needs.  AVI recommended and installed a projector that could be used in any lighting condition during training, a projection screen, wall connectivity, and ceiling speakers for audio needs.  AVI also installed a hard wired push-button wall control that enabled the user to control the power function, input selection, and volume level for any training medium.  And standard with any installation, AVI supplied on-site training and support and backed the installation with their on-site one year warranty.
